In 2010 I have published my book “Kottas on Dressage” - a documentation of the classical education of horses illustrated by drawings and photos.
Thank you for writing your book!! We get first hand information from you instead of those who use your methods and then write their own books!
Thank you so much for this book. I will leave a favorable review on the top bookseller sites once I have completed the read.
So many of the books focus on the ride and rider alone. We Americans are particularly bad about that. On my personal journey I am discovering that there is a large positive experience to be had in ground work. This is largely ignored by many trainers. I love to lunge and do in -hand work with my horses and the look forward to learning the relevant skills but it is very hard to find information toward this goal. I was so pleased to find a wealth of information in your book to support this interest.
I live in a very rural area and finding instruction through clinics and riding centers is all but impossible. I must rely on locating quality books and videos. Your book is an answer for this need.
I first became “acquainted” with you when you did the rider critiques in dressage today. First I thought, “What a good looking charming man”, and I went on to love the very positive way you handled those reviews. So, when I saw you had a book, I knew I had to buy it.
I have not been disappointed. It is both a visual and intellectual treat!
It is a pity that your book is not translated into Russian. Over the past decade, Russia has lost population the best horses and of his own school of dressage.
This book is a must have! I have read a lot of books, but this one is one you must have in your book collection. If you have a questions why or how, this book wil explain. All about the riders sit and the movements. great, thanx for explaining it so well, Mr Kottas Heldenberg.
You inspire me! I love your way of teaching and I hope to be as good as you when I’m older. Thanks for the wonderful book!
